安 陽 沿 革 史
安陽軍艦原為美軍Flecher級驅逐艦，編號DDG-521
，一九四二年開始建造，一九四三年成軍編入太平洋艦隊服役，曾參加帛琉、沖繩及韓戰等戰役。民國五十六年美國將該艦移交我國，由海軍前副總司令俞柏生中將代表接收，並由首任艦長卓祖馨上校率全體官兵至古巴關他那摩美海軍基地接受成軍訓練，同年十一月二日返國納編服役。
安陽軍艦在海軍服役長達三十二年，歷任二十七任艦長，擔負偵巡、外島運補護航、敦睦遠航、護漁及各項演訓等五百餘次任務，總航程達四十二萬六千一百九十二浬，為捍衛海疆貢獻良多，於民國八十八年九月十六日除役。

DDG-918
An-Yang was the ex-USS Kimberly, the
Fletcher-class destroyer, DD-521, laid
down by Bethlehem Steel, S.I., NY. on
July 27, 1942, launched on February 3,
1943 and commissioned on May 22, 1943.
DD-521 is under the command of Pacific
Fleet, USN and has been participating in
Palau islands, Okinawa campaigns and
Korean War with splendid merits and
great achievements, decommissioned on
February 5, 1947, then recommissioned
for the outbreak of Korean conflict in
1951. She was transferred to Vice
Admiral Yu Bo-Sheng, the former deputy
Commander-In-Chief of ROC Navy on June
1, 1967 and renamed as An-Yang with the
hull number DD-918. Captain Cho
Chu-Shin, the first Commanding Officer
took all the transferring crew to
receive training at US Naval base,
Guantanamo, Cuba and arrived at Taiwan
on November 2, 1967.
DDG-918
An-Yang was in service of ROC Navy for
32 years and has been through 27
Commanding Officers. The
mission was patrolling the Taiwan Strait
and surrounding waters to convoy
offshore-islandssupport-and-supply,
midshipman training cruise, task
flotilla and various missions. She
played an important role on the Navy
force built-up
and fleet
combat readiness, secure the safety of
Taiwan Strait and Maritime
communications. The overall underway
range is 426,192 nm. Finally, the
DDG-918 An-Yang was decommissioned on
September 16, 1999. |

本人於八十八年四月十六日接任安陽軍艦艦長的職務，同年九月十六日該艦奉命除役，因此領導安陽艦的時間只有短短五個月，不過這是本人海軍生涯之首任艦長職務，同時有幸帶領本艘具優良傳統與績效輝煌的艦艇走入歷史，成為個人終身最值得回憶的時光。
記得本艦除役前最後一項任務為八十八年七月十五日執行烏坵運補，當航向烏坵途中，因中共軍機於海峽中線附近活動頻繁，即依規定實施備戰警戒，而充滿戰鬥氣息的最後一次任務，也似乎訴說著：「老兵不死，只是逐漸凋零」。
老陽字號雖然逐一除役，但她們的精神卻隨著除役艦每一位官兵的分發，而散佈在艦隊各個單位，並持續發揚光大「老陽」勇猛頑強捍衛海疆的忠義精神。

I
was assigned as the Commanding
Officer of DDG-918, An-Yang on
April 16, 1999, and DDG-918 was
decommissioned on September 16
at the same year. Though it was
only five months for me to be
the Commanding Officer of
DDG-918, it is my first
assignment as the Commanding
Officer, and I feel very proud
to bring this honorable
destroyer to Navy’s history,
this will be my best memory in
my Navy career. I still
remembered the last task before
decommission was the supply to
WuChiu islet on July 15, 1999,
while transiting to WuChiu,
there are lots of movements of
PLA Air Force fighters. We
called the General Quarters
according to the Operation SOP’s
and that last task with a little
combat taste seems to us that
“Old soldiers never die；They
only fade away !”(Anonymous,"War
Song''1914-18)
Although the
Yang-class destroyers are
decommissioned successively,
their spirit and devotion will
delivered with every
member
who had ever served on them and
the traditions will be kept and
be promoted as time goes by.. |
